What is QuickFlows?
QuickFlows is a cloud based Business Process Management (BPM) platform and services aimed at orchestrating people and systems working together. QuickFlows offers a complete and well integrated service for discovering, designing, implementing, deploying, executing and monitoring custom business process centric applications.

This section will highlight the main lifecycle areas and what you can expect and get on each. It will also provide a persona-based perspective showing the expected role on each phase.

The continuous improvement cycle

The journey starts by creating your first process based application and making these business processes executable. As process owners identify new opportunities or improvements, they can work these changes in the modeling and implementation phases and quickly promote new modifications dynamically and real-time. This enables the appropriate business agility most needed by your business to react in time to demanding business pressures and stay reactive to market conditions.

Modeling

Process modeling is the phase where you define the flow of your business process. This phase defines the steps and sequence of your process activities and tasks.
At this stage, it is possible to define if business process steps are people or system oriented as well as defining branching conditional steps. Business processes are also organization role driven explicitly defining how the process interacts with your organization structure.

These business process models become the contract with the implementation team that will get these business process models and extend them with the necessary details to make these processes executable.
Process modeling can be done using the BPMN (Business Process Modeling and Notation) standard and can be performed by none technical persons.

Implementation

A technical person is typically involved in the implementation phase in the lifecycle. This person understands how to connect to backend applications (if the process has integration with other applications - as it is possible to have completely user centric processes). It is worth pointing out that user centric processes can be mostly done without technical expertise.

Once all steps in the process have been implemented and all policies and rules defined, your project containing one or many business processes can be deployed for execution and consumption by end users.

Deployment and Execution

Once your business processes have been properly implemented, they can be deployed for execution and usage by your organization. When the process reaches a user centric step, it will automatically push a new task to an appropriate person defined in your organization (inside or outside of it) requesting this individual to complete this step.

Similarly, if the business process step is a system centric one, the BPM Engine will automatically execute to perform the associated business transaction.

Monitoring and Insight

Process owners are typically interested in understanding how their business processes are working. QuickFlows offers a dashboard component to get insight and visibility into process metrics.

Dashboards are also extended with search capabilities to look for specific task and process instances that are in flight or have completed their execution.
